Did you know that Philadelphia has over 90 water-based play spaces? They go by different names, including spraygrounds, splash pads, and spray parks.

Some Parks & Rec sites are home to a single sprinkler, spray jet, or mister. Other sites have water play areas called splash pads or spraygrounds. They’re all a safe way for city residents to cool down for free!

Weekdays: 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Weekends: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

After July, spray features will be available:

Weekdays: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Weekends: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

There may be exceptions for bad weather.

Parks & Rec’s water-based play spaces are a great alternative to swimming pools.
