McHenry Township home uninhabitable after Sunday fire

A McHenry Township home was left uninhabitable after a fire early Sunday morning.
McHenry Township Fire Protection District firefighters called to the 4900 block of West Maple Hill Road in McCullom Lake at about 1:40 a.m. arrived within six minutes to find smoke and fire pouring from the front of the home, officials said.
All residents were out of the house prior to their arrival, fire officials said. The fire was brought under control within 20 minutes and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to the fire district, which was assisted at the scene by the Richmond and Wonder Lake fire departments.
